My Fave Cruelty-Free Makeup 2018 (Part 2)

This is the second part of my previous post on my favourite cruelty-free makeup items. I don’t own many makeup products so I do my very best to replace all of it to cruelty-free. There are many cruelty-free makeup at really affordable prices in the beauty world but unfortunately not many are brought into Malaysia. But thank God despite that, I still manage to find some great products!

Sharing the love I have for the following items and hope it helps anyone who just starting to go cruelty-free in purchasing makeup! 😀

1) Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.

My first cruelty-free makeup! This is hands-down the best neutral eyeshadow palette I’ve ever own. I bought this almost two years ago and as you can see none hit the bottom of the pan yet. The colours are beautiful, and it offers great pigment. A great palette to start with if you are a minimalist because of the neutral colour choices, good quality so you don’t need to buy too much makeup and all-in-1 palette so space-saving! The only downside for me is the smell and lack of matte shades. It did not smell as nice as Too-Faced palettes haha.

2) Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original).

I’ve heard so much good review on this primer and yes…it did not fail me! I’ve never bought an eyeshadow primer my whole life before this. I’ve always use foundation as the base or not at all. But trust me, primer makes such a huge difference, especially now that I have my makeup on for almost the whole day at the office. Super effective to apply on the lids, it gives better pay-off for your eyeshadows, and one important criterion (drum roll….) is your eyeshadow won’t crease. I love this.

3) NYX Pore Filler primer.

Commonly referred to as the dupe for Benefit Porefessional, this face primer is great for its price. It fills your pores (as the name suggest) and leaves a velvety finish on your skin. It is a great base before applying my BB cream or foundation.

4) NYX Soft Matte lip cream.

When the world was going cray-cray on matte lip, I first got myself a Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid. When I found out that Maybelline is not cruelty-free, I search for an affordable option. That’s when I was introduced to NYX Soft Matte lip cream. This liquid lip did not dry down to complete matte. It’s matte but still feel creamy on my lips, which I’m grateful for because I have very dry lips. The colour is beautiful and the doe-foot applicator is easy to use. By the way, NYX has a great range of beautiful lip products so check them out if you are thinking of getting good quality, affordable and beautiful lipsticks.

5) NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow.

By now, probably you will know I’m a big fan of NYX. These cute single eyeshadows are so beautiful you can’t believe is not very expensive. Fireball (red) and Mermaid (green) are my absolute fave. As you can see from the swatch on my arm, it offers great pigment, that was just one swatch! These eyeshadow singles are awesome if you just want to own a specific kind of shade (like how I love the mermaid green!) to use for a fun day/night-out.

6) Everyday Mineral makeup brushes.

Last but not least is my makeup brushes from Everyday Minerals. The handle is made of bamboo and synthetic bristle. Despite not using natural hair, the bristle is super soft and gentle on your skin. It is very easy to use and easy to clean too.

Yes, clean! Get a cleaning pad to make the brush-cleaning process easier (instead of using your palm) and time-saving. I got my cute BrushEgg and had a fun experience using it:)

Everyday Minerals is a cruelty-free and vegan cosmetic company. Besides brushes, they offer blusher, powder, eyeshadow and more.

I love all these makeup products. Especially if you are a minimalist, you will want versatile and great quality makeup products so that you can make good use out of just a few items. It’s few that I reach out to almost all the makeup products I own every single day. Because there was no product I bought that did not bring value to my everyday life.

And going cruelty-free doesn’t mean you can’t get good makeup products, these are just a few examples of it!

Have you tried any of the items above? Or do you have any other great cruelty-free products you can recommend it to me? I’m looking forward to your comments and ideas!
