Something so simple yet powerful. It took years for me to learn how to be thankful, even after I came to know God. Especially during those difficult time, we just don’t feel like giving thanks. That’s why it is a command from God. It is a choice to be thankful.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
About 4 years ago, when I knew that thankfulness or gratitude is the key to true joy, I decided to practice being thankful. Starting from giving thanks for the little things in life. Wow! I never look back. It was one of the best decision I made. I’m still learning. Today I’ve received a revelation from God to practice a whole new level of thanksgiving after listening to a podcast by Bethel Church. Be thankful for life challenges is exercising discipline and faith in God. Okay Lord, let’s do this🙌🏻
What are you thankful for today?
I’m thankful for a God who has always been with me through the ups and downs of life and who has blessed me with good things. I’m thankful that He brought me from loneliness to community and revealed Himself to me more and more. He has done great things for me, and I am thankful.
Thankful for having a healthy life, job, roof over my head, able to afford meals , living in peaceful city and knowing that i have my family behind me!
Gratitude IS the attitude.
I am so grateful for good healthy and a loving family.
