Running away…

There is not much light in sight. Little Rachel found herself running through the woods. She is running away from something. “What was I running away from?” she asked herself.  She kept running till she felt breathless and fell to the ground. She touched the ground, the moist of the ground lingers at her little fingers. She wanted to hold on something or someone. When she opens up her eyes to search for the source, she found nothing. None.  Tears started to stream down her red cheeks, she can’t bear the loneliness she felt so much right at this moment. What was I running away from?  She asked herself again.

She can’t figure out what happen to her body. Then she become aware of something tied to her left ankle. A string, a very tiny one, entangles at her wounded ankle.

What is this?

Her  eyes wandered all over the woods. She was shocked when she recognizes the other end of the string that binds her leg. It is dark. It is terrifying. It is the enemy.

How long has it been here? She questioned as she tried to pull away the string.

She pulls again. Pain begins to gushed through her nerves.

Arghh…

It bleeds. She cried. She shouted. Help me…

Little Rachel looks to the little source of light and look helplessly to it. Hope to see some one that she can hold on to. Not long after that, she gave up. She hit her head on the ground.

This is enough. She thinks.

There is no more hope. I might as well get gulp by the enemy.

Just as she wanted to give up, a still voice came…

There is no fear in love. (1 John 4;18)

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.(1 Peter 5:8)

What can I do? I’m finished! Can you help me?

Even we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. (2 Timothy 2:13)

He came. He cuts off the strings, He heals Little Rachel’s wound. He smiles. She smiles too.
